The Storytellers Issue: @issarae for #CRWNMAG

A post shared by CRWNMAG (@crwnmag) on

What Lindsey and Nkrumah have been able to do with CRWN in just a few years is amazing. Just when you thought print was dead, they've created a quarterly high-quality print magazine full of vibrant photography of beautifully styled black women, most with natural hair and exquisite storytelling.

QG The Quintessential Gentleman  (Guiding Modern Day men into Modern Day Gentlemen)

The Quintessential Gentleman releases the 2020 Power Issue saluting voices of impact from film and television, culture and history. These are individuals who are committed to the fight for injustice, building generational wealth and changing the perceived narrative of young Black America. It is with great honor that we devote the Power Issue cover to rising star #JahiWinston, for adhering to the social responsibility of accepting roles that are far beyond the stereotypes of Black men. ———————————————————————————— From his breakout role in the 2019 film @QueenandSlim to the lessons of self-discovery in the highly anticipated production of @CharmCityKings, Jahi is voicing the stories that truly depict the world around us. “Visibility is probably one of the most important things to me as an artist. Just to be on a screen for someone to find a sense of commonality and familiarity when they see me is rewarding. However, regardless of how much we fight for representation, there is still not enough. I think my job as an artist in the future is to really implement that in every facet of what I do,” said Winston. ———————————————————————————— Also within these pages, you will hear from business mogul @TristanWalker, the CEO of @Bevel from Walker & Company, actor @JeremyTardy, and John Gibson of the @MotionPictures. Just to name a few. We encourage you to explore and share these stories of Black and Brown men who are breaking barriers and fighting for inclusivity. Eric Thomas is the creative mind behind this beautifully laid out online magazine QG - The Quintessential Gentleman that celebrates the brilliance of black men. I've loved how Eric has been able to grow the magazine and am drawn to his photographic layouts. And yes, he switched up the GQ brand but hey, it works.
