THE STYLIST SUITE RECAP
On Thursday, June 23, 2016, Darralynn Hutson, co-producers Jajmi Robinson, Alechia Reese and Summer Kitchen presented the first Stylist Suite: an editorial event in the Penthouse in the fashion district of Los Angeles, California.
With over 100 attendees, three brand sponsors, 30+ designers represented and 20+ brands donated products, The Stylist Suite generated over 7000+ social media posts and 9000+ shares and likes that translated the overall theme
PAYING TRIBUTE TO STYLISTS AND COSTUME DESIGNERS OF COLOR.
Darralynn Hutson and her team, photographer, Earl Gibson and videographer, Kristen Hill with host Alechia Resse worked to profile twelve individuals who carve their own way through styling, wardrobe and costume designing. The Stylist Suite started with one on one video interviews, designer exhibitions and a photo shoot.

Chef. Chris Montgomery created specialty treats for sampling while mixologist Adr’ain Harrow of Unique Syrups with Titos Vodka created mixed cocktails for guests.
The crème de la crème of the sponsors supported the editorial event including EMIYoshi Plateware, African Ancestry – who offered ancestry reveals - and Mixed Chicks hair care products who provided the exclusive gift bags to the Stylists and Costume Designers. The Art Institute of Hollywood provided the use of their prep kitchen and slew of student interns who acted as VIP escorts and Chef assistants.
