The Players: Who Produces the Magic?

Unlike traditional fashion weeks with one governing body, Miami Swim Week is a "multi-venue platform" with several key producers:

  • Miami Swim Week® — The Shows: Headquartered at the Mondrian South Beach (May 27–31, 2026), they host over 50 events across 20+ locations.

  • The Bureau Fashion Week: Running May 29–30, 2026, featuring high-production runway shows with headliners like Krissy King and Chung Yuul.

  • Paraiso Miami Swim Week: A major industry staple known for its high-profile designer activations and trade-focused events.

Getting Through the Door: Media & Attendance

If you are coming as a Media Outlet, do not wait until you land at MIA to ask for a pass.

  • Apply Early: Most credential applications open in March or early April. You’ll need to provide your outlet’s reach, past fashion coverage, and a specific plan for how you intend to feature the designers.

  • Credential Links: Start your application process at Miami Swim Week® Media Credentials or The Bureau’s Media Portal.

  • Public Access: For those without press passes, many shows now offer tiered ticket options—from single GA seats to full weekend passes—available at The Bureau.

  • Media Guidelines, Passes, and Rules: Keep in mind that each must be applied separately, especially for team members. If not followed, tickets purchased for press passes are non-transferable and non-resellable.

  • The Red Carpet Strategy: Tips for pitching clients to PR leads (The Society, Art Hearts, etc.) and the "Arrival Window" etiquette.

  • Content Pillars: Creating "Ready-to-Post" Reels vs. deep-dive YouTube "Day in the Life" vlogs.

  • The Gear List: What media needs for outdoor poolside shooting includes these items, especially on the professional side, such as:

  • Show PR You Understand Their Goals: ensure the PR Teams are thinking in terms of (Photo Distribution, Brand Alignment, Social Application). Try to give it to them right away! 

  • Stay On Key: On step-and-repeat carpets, stay on key and in your lane —especially when it comes to following directions, keeping your poses small, and avoiding overstaying your moment. Photographers move very quickly, and respecting that flow and key signals professionalism. Plus, you’re not just representing yourself, but the brand and the message you are sending to the public. Take a photo, live a little, but keep it classy, don’t take too long. Let's go!

  •  Don’t Be Late: We can all agree that being late is unprofessional and shows a lack of manners. But in the professional world of media, timing is everything; everything needs to flow without disruption. Late arrivals risk skipping the carpet entirely, missing photographers, and even being blacklisted for future events, so if your window is 7:20–7:30, plan to arrive no later than 7:15.
