Applicants must demonstrate a clear editorial or content plan tied to festival programming.

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL
January 21 to 31, 2027 | Boulder, Colorado
The Sundance Film Festival moves to Boulder in 2027, bringing independent feature films, documentaries, episodic work, filmmaker conversations, panels and other programming to its new Colorado home. Press accreditation opened August 24 and is limited. Sundance encourages freelance journalists to apply with an assignment letter.

GRAMMY AWARDS
February 7, 2027 | Los Angeles, California
The 69th GRAMMY Awards will take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Recording Academy has announced the ceremony date, with nominations scheduled for November 16, 2026. The Academy's 2027 media company registration period ran June 25 through August 14. Individual press credential information has not yet been posted, so consider this one a credential watch for music, entertainment and culture journalists.

SXSW 2027
March 15 to 21, 2027 | Austin, Texas
SXSW brings together film and television, music, technology, comedy, innovation and culture in Austin. The 2027 press accreditation page is live and accepts applications from editorial journalists. SXSW also has a separate application for creators whose primary publishing platforms are TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or LinkedIn.

The Boston Globe's 2027 summer internship is a paid, full-time, 12-week program offering journalism experience inside a major newsroom.
Reporting positions are available across News, Express Desk, Business, Sports and Living/Arts, along with internships in photography, video, editorial design and copy editing.
The program is open to eligible undergraduate and graduate students and is not limited to journalism majors. Reporting interns receive support from a writing coach, with all interns participating in discussions with Globe editors and staff.
