Freelance Opportunities for Freelancers Like Me, April 5, 2024
Ellen C Scott @EllenCScott: Any women writers have a first-person story around mental health they'd like to share as part of @StylistMagazine's Processing series? Email me at ellen.scott@stylist.co.uk if so! #pitches https://stylist.co.uk/tag/processing
[rosin] @rosinkal: Hi there, seeking to bulk up and diversify our Thrillist freelance roster. Specifically, for me, looking for Seattle and Texas-based writers for travel and lifestyle writing. Sign up here Thrillist Local Freelancer, and see our How to Pitch Guide. kbyeee https://thrillist.com/thrillist-how-to-pitch…
Gilead Amit @gileadamit: I’ll be editing the Science and Technology section @TheEconomist on and off over the next few months, so very keen to receive pitches from freelancers who get our style. Feel free to pass on. Email only, please. I’m on leave until April 8th but will aim to get back to you then. [gileadamit@economist.com]

Eva Sandoval @ieatmypigeon: Looking for great AAPI month pitches for The SpeciaList! My work email's in my bio [eva.sandoval.freelance@bbc.com ], but please read the whole brief for details: 5-8 stop city tour (or island nation in this case) with a culturally relevant angle with mass appeal featuring recommendations from a notable/trending and unbiased industry insider. No PR agents, no tour guides, not your buddy (unless your buddy is Ali Wong). Someone cool!...we’re no longer doing guides with writer-as-specialist and please PLEASE no food/drink right now. Right now, we're also looking for weekend guides to F1 cities and pitches for Pride, outdoor adventures and "cool [weather]" summer destinations. Or a fun SpeciaList idea in general! All following the above format. And please don't stress if it's not a fit. If it's a no from us, 98% of the time it's because the specialist isn't quite right/the city isn't timely enough/the angle is too niche. Pitch it somewhere else! And definitely try me again in the future - I'd love to see your new ideas. [deadline: ASAP]
