Freelance Opportunities for Freelancers Like Me - May 10, 2024

MIT Technology Review is at the beginning stages of planning our November/December issue. The theme is Hard Problems—Food. We’re looking for big swings on that theme: narrative features, essential profiles, investigations, and sharp essays to go in the feature well of the magazine.

The pitch deadline for this issue is Monday May 20. Article drafts would be due in late July/early August.

If you have an idea that you think might be a good fit—or have any questions—send me and Allison Arieff (cc’d here) a note. And if you haven’t seen it before, please have a look at our pitch guide before writing your pitch. It includes general pitching advice, word rates, and other helpful details. If you’re new to pitching magazine articles, I also highly recommend checking out the pitching resources on The Open Notebook.
