Black Panther’s LA premiere was a haugemauge of distinctive fashion; everyone on the cast of the story of a technologically advanced African nation Wakana took it to heart like Florence Kasumba. Portraying Ayo, one of the Dora Milaje league of female protectors of the king, T’Challa. She was dressed in a black sequenced fitted creation from South African designer, David Tlale covered in lace and embriodery. The black gown provided all the drama you’d expect—when you’re the professional badd ass, trainee of martial arts and accomplished dancer, you have to dress accordingly.
Together with Stylist Jason Haley of HUNCH and makeup artist Dana Delaney, Florence and Jason created the one of a kind red carpet moment meant to be captured by photographers.
Accessorized in funky sandal wedges and an embroidered clutch purse from Christian Louboutin with her shaven hair, Florence looked every bit fierce. Here, she and Haley take you behind the look.
