W Magazine is Looking for Features Editor, Fashion Assistant Fellow, and Managing Editor

Features Editor

To help continue to grow audience and expand brand even further, they’re looking for an experienced Features Editor to pitch, assign, write and edit W’s longform storytelling. Candidates should have experience and sharp instincts writing, assigning and editing a range of features, from cultural profiles to complex narratives.

Candidates should come with deep connections with a diverse group of freelance writers, and enthusiasm for pitching new and ambitious ideas across print and digital platforms. Candidates should also be comfortable working across multiple timelines—capable of simultaneously developing stories for tomorrow, next week, and next year, in a multitude of formats.

Fashion Assistant Fellow

W Magazine is seeking a Fashion Assistant Fellow to work from NYC office five days per week, helping with daily tasks ranging from office organization to preparation for upcoming photoshoots. This position will work closely with the Lead Fashion Assistant and Lead Accessories Assistant to help with sample trafficking. Candidates for this position should be a team player, highly organized, and have a keen attention to detail. Fashion Fellowship Program lasts for 3 months, with an opportunity to extend to 6 months.

Managing Editor

W Magazine is seeking a New York-based Managing Editor, who will be responsible for both strategy planning and the day-to-day operational execution of print and digital publication. This is a temp to perm position.

As managing editor, you will be responsible for oversight of staff, editorial line ups and schedules, and pitch workflows for features, packages, and long-term planning.

Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in working on content that contends with culture, fashion, art, and luxury. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience editing for a national publication, working on both print and digital channels.
