Brands currently include MyLife (mindfulness and meditation), Cozi (family organizing app) and Cooking Light, with opportunity for expansion as the group continues to grow.
The Quality Assurance Editor carries out quality assurance efforts for a variety of digital content for magazines from Meredith’s portfolio. The Quality Assurance Editor will work closely with QA team members, developers, and other stakeholders. They will be responsible for developing and executing thorough testing approaches to ensure digital deliverables contain error-free content that renders and functions correctly across a range of desktop and mobile platforms. The Quality Assurance Editor produces high quality work in a fast-past environment, often with short turnaround times – and helps other QA team members do the same. This person must work well in a collaborative environment but also able to handle tasks on their own
The Associate Editor for the TV vertical will work closely with the Staff Editors for the vertical to coordinate digital coverage for all things TV on the site. This includes a mix of writing, reporting and editing, as well as helping to shape the daily news coverage. We want a dynamic storyteller who is passionate about TV and coming up with unique and compelling stories about both the shows themselves and the personalities behind them. We need you to have outstanding writing skills, sound news judgement, an ability to move quickly and thoughtfully, and impeccable attention to detail. It’s key to have an understanding of the digital landscape, including content streams, SEO and analytics, and to be meticulously organized. Creativity, good people skills, industry contacts, and time management skills are also essential.
Dynamic Captioning, a Meredith Company, is recruiting for a Closed Captioning Editor. The Offline Editor is a post-production specialist responsible for the transcription, placement, and timing of stylistically accurate captions for pre-recorded television shows and videos. The Editor will encounter a wide variety of terminology ranging from slang to technical jargon, including localized dialects, and will need to successfully transcribe accordingly.
Associate Native/Social Campaign Manager
The Associate Native/Social Campaign Manager will be responsible for leading the execution of all digital, non-IAB (e.g. native, social) campaigns across the Meredith Digital Portfolio for an agency sales pod. The role will demand accurate and efficient campaign set up, creation, QA, trafficking, optimization and reporting for non-IAB ad products. The Campaign Manager will also support their manager to find efficiencies to improve client communications and streamline campaign processes across their pod and organization
The Entertainment Projects Editor will be expected to work with contacts in the industry to develop and pitch feature and cover stories for People and should be an excellent interviewer and writer who can also tap into contacts to help report breaking news. This editor will also work closely with the movies, TV, music, special issues and other vertical editors to develop ideas and book talent for special packages. He or she will play a key role in coordinating entertainment coverage between our print, digital and video platforms, including planning and booking for events such as film festivals, photo portfolios and movie premieres, and developing fresh ideas for covering major entertainment tentpoles and personalities across People’s platforms. He or she will be expected to support the newsroom’s diversity and inclusion efforts by seeking out diverse stories and writing with sensitivity.
The Commerce Content team at Meredith is looking for an eCommerce writer who is passionate about products in various lifestyle categories, shopping online, and service journalism. The eCommerce Writer will join a centralized team of writers, editors, and producers that create and distribute commerce content across 19+ Meredith editorial brands including InStyle, People, Real Simple, Shape, and Better Homes & Gardens.
An interest in promoting many different types of retailers including Amazon, small businesses, and black-owned businesses is required. Ideally this candidate is interested in celebrity style, pop culture, and social media trends, although this isn’t required to apply. Candidates must be passionate about providing meaningful product recommendations and shopping tips to our audience of nearly 95% of American women that betters their lives in some way.
The Product Reviews Writer will join a central team of writers and editors and will create quality eCommerce buying guides to be distributed across several Meredith food and lifestyle brands: Food & Wine, Allrecipes, Eating Well, Southern Living and more. This role requires someone who is knowledgeable about writing SEO-driven content, testing food and kitchen products, and shopping online. They will create in-depth, research-driven content that inspires Meredith’s large audiences to make informed, qualified purchases.
The News Editor edits video for newscasts. Edit news, bumpers, teases, and archive tapes on a daily basis. Regular use of Avid News Cutter, Avid Media composer, Final Cut Pro.
- 2 years news broadcast editing
- Bachelors in communications, broadcast production or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with non-linear editing
- Must possess an understanding of rules of video editing
- Ability to perform quality work under high pressure deadlines
- Attention to detail
This position also shoots video as requested.
