People.com Seeking A Commerce Editor to Help SupportĀ The TeamĀ That Works on Shopping Content
People.com is seeking a Commerce Editor to help support growing People Tested team that works purely on shopping content. If you are highly organized, resourceful, and thrive in a fast-paced environment this could be right for you.
This role will be focused on writing, assigning, and editing evergreen shopping roundups and reviews in all top- searched and trending categories, including food, beauty, fashion, home, and more. Youāll work directly with Director, Senior Vice President, Testing Lab, Growth/SEO, and People.com editorial team to produce the best in class content.
About Your Contributions
- Pitch, write, assign, and edit product reviews and product roundups
- Obtain and test several types of products while sharing your reviews of the product
- Update content based on performance data and insights as well as updated product information
- Stay current on trends and new products, maintaining close contact with public relations agencies
- Use SEO tools and industry knowledge to help strategize next steps
- Collaborate with and manage expectations of the commerce, editorial, growth, and social teams
- Communicate effectively throughout the organization on your teamās goals and objectives
About You
- 3+ years writing and editing experience at an online publisher
- Youāre enthusiastic about products, specifically in the home/beauty/lifestyle spaces, and know how to provide the reader with different options that suit their needs
- Detail-oriented and deadline-focused
- Strong writer, capable of writing engaging, buzzy headlines and blurbs, all the while keeping the PEOPLE voice, values, and style in mind
- Experience with content management systems
- Familiarity with SEO best practices
- Self-starter who wants to work for a growing company
- College degree required
