Pharrell Williams & Chanel Provided Mentorship to a Group of Black CEOs: Demo Day is this Month
Pharrell is always doing something under the radar to help black businesses get the support they need. Although we missed the deadline to compete for a spot this year, the application process opens Dec 2nd 2021 for their next crop of CEO that would welcome the opportunity to be mentored by Pharrell and his friends.
The companies that made the cut will have their big Demo Day July 12-13th and we're excited to see which new Black CEOs will hit the market.
Pharrell Williams founded Black Ambition, an equity-focused initiative that aims to level the uneven playing fields for Black students and entrepreneurs from HBCUs. Taking its support to new heights, the nonprofit organization has teamed up with luxury fashion house Chanel for the launch of a two-part mentorship program, designed with supporting new talent in mind.
The truth is, Black Ambition is limitless,
Access is not. Black Ambition is a non-profit initiative working to close the opportunity and wealth gap through entrepreneurship. We invest capital and resources in high-growth startups founded by Black and Latinx entrepreneurs. We believe entrepreneurs historically left out of traditional investment funnels are building the companies of tomorrow.
Through mentorships, workshops, and an A-list panel of experts lending their knowledge, the collaboration’s twofold program is meant to set up Black Ambition participants for ample success, while also bringing the musician’s long-standing relationship with the storied maison as a brand ambassador to a new level.
The Prize.
The Black Ambition Prize provides a platform for eligible entrepreneurs to access growth capital, pitch feedback, and mentorship. Eligible applicants consist of Black and Latinx founders building across these distinct categories:
Consumer Products and Services — Design — Healthcare — Tech
