Sherri McGee McCovey on the Stories Behind Television

On the latest episode of Stylists Suite LIVE, we sit down with Sherri McGee McCovey, a NAACP Image Award nominated writer, producer and journalist, New York Times bestselling author, and co creator of the Paramount+ comedy series The Varnell Hill Show. She knows the business from nearly every angle. A Career Built on Storytelling Sherri's television career spans scripted and unscripted television, comedy, sports and lifestyle programming. Her credits include The Parkers, Hart of the City, BET's Sunday Best, The Mo'Nique Show, Recipe for Change, Family Food Fight and Butter+Brown. She also spent nine years writing for the live Ford Neighborhood Awards hosted by Steve Harvey. Her first scripted television pitch became the series premiere of The Parkers. She later co wrote the feature film Hair Show, then continued building a career across television, film, publishing and digital media. Today, she is a Content Producer for Straight Shooter Media Network, creating content for platforms including YouTube and SiriusXM. What Happens Behind the Scenes?
