Hey, Stylists Suite family, here comes the fall. It’s been so cool and breezy and I’m here for it. The three sections of the newsletter are getting fatter and fatter preparing for hibernation. Take some time to plan out your fall pitches, engagement opportunities and new face to face meetings. Fall is my favorite time of year.

DOCUMENTED NEWSROOM EDITOR IS LOOKING FOR PITCHES
Ether El-Kataney, Editor-in-Chief of Documented. She’s looking for writers to create pitches on immigration, including the connection between policies and current living conditions.

TALKING SHORTS IS LOOKING FOR PITCHES
Both founders, Anne Gaschütz and Daniel Hadenius-Ebner, of Talking Shorts are launching a new annual print magazine on short film culture in 2026. The issue explores filmmaking and writing concerns and seeks pitches from writers with insights on short films about ethics in depicting violence, liberation, sustainability, and environmental distress. They accept essays, features, research articles, and interviews (1500-3000 words). Pitch by September 8, details will be provided in the full call for pitches. Submit pitches (250-300 words)
