The Acura ADX Came With Us to NYFW

Acura provided the ADX for our use during New York Fashion Week. The observations are our own.

During NYFW, a car is rarely just a car. It becomes a holding room, a charging station, a place to take a call and, for a few quiet minutes between shows, somewhere to breathe. When Acura loaned us the ADX, we put it to work.

Our days moved between Harlem, runway shows, interviews and meetings. The schedule was aggressive, and the bags, equipment and Fashion Week necessities seemed to multiply every time we opened the cargo area. What mattered was not whether the ADX looked good parked outside a venue. It did. What mattered was whether it could keep pace with the way we were actually working.

A Working Base Between Shows

Inside, the ADX became part of our routine. The cabin had enough room to keep the day organized without feeling oversized on New York streets. The panoramic moonroof opened up the space, and the sport seats were appreciated after hours spent standing, walking and waiting.

Heated and ventilated front seats sound like a showroom talking point until you are moving through early mornings, warm afternoons and late nights in the same day. Then they become useful.

The Technology We Actually Used

Wireless Apple CarPlay kept navigation, calls and music within reach. Wireless charging meant one less cable to hunt for, and the available Wi-Fi hotspot helped us stay connected between appointments. None of it felt especially glamorous. That was the point. It worked in the background while we focused on the job.

The Verdict

The ADX did not become part of our NYFW story because of a spec sheet. It became part of the story because it made a demanding schedule easier to manage.

From Harlem to shows, interviews and everything in between, it gave us room to work, reset and keep moving. During Fashion Week, that is the luxury that counts.
