The Best Street Style of Paris Fashion Week March 2019

Paris Fashion Week marks the end of fashion month after New York, London, and Milan. But Paris is still serving some great looks. With avant-garde designers like Maison Margiela, Rick Owens, Marine Serre, Dries Van Noten, Yohji Yamamoto, and Comme des Garçons showing in the French capital, over-the-top style on the streets has reached new heights as showgoers blur the line between fashion and art. One lady wore a sculptural sweater made of interlocking knit pieces climbing all the way to her chin complete with a cagelike bucket hat made with colorful beaded string — one part Margiela and one part Comme des Garçons.

The mini bag trend is also still going strong, and Chloé was the bag to carry as they held their runway show early this morning. Another popular choice was the Margiela Glam Slam bag (that doubles as the perfect pillow for recharging in between back-to-back shows). As if it wasn’t made clear already, if you’re not wearing any hair accessories, what are you even doing? There were hats and barrettes galore, but our favorite was one that perfectly captures our thoughts on Paris street style that simply says, “Damn.”
