Teen Vogue has gone through its share of drama in the past year. From its former editor in chief leaving after tweets from ten years ago to the youngest Editor in Chief at Conde Nast, Lindsey Peoples Wagner moving over to The Cut.

Teen Vogue has gone through its share of drama in the past year. From its former editor in chief leaving after tweets from ten years ago to the youngest Editor in Chief at Conde Nast, Lindsey Peoples Wagner moving over to The Cut. We always assumed that the editor at chief at any Conde Nast property would be a dream job but it seems that it's very hard to keep. Danielle Kwateng is giving it a go, most recently names Executive Editor, not the coveting Editor in Chief title that we are accustomed but new position none the less and a promotion from the Cultures editor.
Here's a letter from Teen Vogue's newest promotion, executive editor, Danielle Kwateng.
Hi, I’m Danielle Kwateng and I’m the new executive editor at Teen Vogue. You can call me Dani for short. I’ve been with Teen Vogue for almost two years as the entertainment and culture director highlighting new talent, unpacking pop culture news, and giving a platform to talented young people from marginalized communities.

When I first moved to New York City after graduating from college 11 years ago, I could only dream of stepping into this role. I am honored to be able to work with a team that is committed to serving you — young, activated people with something to say.

Although Teen Vogue has been around since 2003, the 2016 election of Donald Trump recentered our focus on storytelling that explains, interrogates, and uplifts those who are often misunderstood and misrepresented. Across all of our sections, we’ve reported on topics like Indigenous rights, immigration, Black Lives Matter, sustainability, pop culture, sexuality, and more with a fresh lens that always centers on young people’s perspectives.
