Previously, Lola Christina Alao was a freelance writer for publications such as The Evening Standard, Dazed, Refinery 29, Glamour, The Face, Time Out, The Independent, Grazia, The Metro, Bustle, gal-dem, Cosmopolitan, Stylist, VICE, Teen Vogue, Buzzfeed, Mashable, i-D and more.
In her three years of writing, she built up a portfolio of work that explores contemporary culture, socio-political and lifestyle topics – and aim to amplify the voices of marginalised people in my work.
Lola Christina Alao is currently an editing fellow on the freelance and contributors team at Insider UK.
This month I joined @thisisinsider as editing fellow, where I’ll be trained to commission & edit stories by contributors and freelancers, plus write my own stories. This is a dream role for me and I’m v excited to continue pushing for more diverse content/voices in journalism!
