Introducing Robert Samuels, New Staff Writer of The New Yorker
Robert Samuels was a national political enterprise reporter for The Washington Post who focuses on politics, policy and the changing American identity. He travels the country to chronicle how the vivacious political discussion in the nation’s capital is affecting the lives of everyday Americans. He previously told stories about life in the District for The Post’s social issues team. He is also the co-author of "His Name is George Floyd: One Man's Life and the Struggle for Racial Justice." Samuels joined The Post in 2011 after spending nearly five years working at the Miami Herald. At the Herald, he covered politics, poverty, murder and mayhem.
Robert Samuels will be joining The New Yorker this coming March.
It's true! Come March, I'll be a staff writer at @NewYorker. Working at the Post had long been my biggest dream. A job at The New Yorker was beyond imagination. When they promised that I could add figure skating to my portfolio of covering America, a new possibility became real https://t.co/qFStwO4grB
