Cosmopolitan Looking For Associate News Editor

Cosmopolitan is looking for a sharp Associate News Editor to join its hilarious, super-fast, pop-culture-obsessed news team. The team primarily focuses on celebrity and pop culture coverage, but if it’s timely and matters to millennials and Gen Z, they’re probably writing about it. You will use your experience in news writing and editing to write and edit daily pop culture-focused articles and explainers, prepare stories for live events, strategize coverage opportunities using SEO best practices and Google Trends, swarm breaking news in real time, update buzzy TV show coverage, and regularly contribute original reporting, with opportunities to contribute to print. The ideal candidate should be an internet wiz who is able to ID, write, and edit stories quickly in Cosmo’s unique voice. This position reports to our News Director.

Hearst is Looking for Deputy Features Editor

They’re looking for an experienced, creative, adaptable professional who is as comfortable interviewing and writing as they are editing copy for three very different brands. An understanding of what excites readers is essential, as is an ability to generate brilliant ideas on a monthly basis. You’ll be super-organised, excellent at time management and juggling schedules, and a great all rounder who enjoys working as part of a dynamic team.

As deputy features editor you’ll work across the lifestyle hub of Good Housekeeping, Red and Prima as a senior member of the features team, generating original and brand-appropriate ideas for each title. As well as commissioning and editing features, you will write for all three brands, turning your hand to everything from compelling real life stories to engaging celebrity profiles to trend-led features/ lifestyle features. Deputising for the three features directors as required, you’ll be confident to step up to ensure things run smoothly in their absence.

Town & Country Magazine is looking for an ambitious, organized, detail-oriented multitasker to provide administrative and strategic support to its editor in chief, doing whatever it takes to keep her office running smoothly. Responsibilities will include scheduling appointments; maintaining calendar and keeping EIC informed of schedule every day; fielding phone calls and taking accurate messages; filing expense reports on a timely basis and in keeping with Hearst’s policies and procedures; greeting visitors at all levels of seniority; making and updating travel arrangements; coordinating special events; sending out invites and issues and other duties as assigned (research for specific projects; miscellaneous errands).

They’re looking for someone to work with lead product editor to help manage and coordinate every stage of product development in order to drive consumer revenue: research & idea generation, managing timeline and costs, hiring freelancers, editing copy, working with design, and proofreading the final product.
