A Safe Space to Binge on Magazines
The holidays always bring a pause — that deep breath we all desperately need masked as a blessing. While most folks tap out until January 4th, now is the moment where the intention and strategy comes in for the founders, the publicists, the fellow journalists and creatives who quietly plant the seeds.
Here’s how I, personally take this slowdown time to re-connect for long-lasting relationship-building drip.
Let’s be clear:
January is not just a new month of a new year.
January is the media industry’s Super Bowl.
If you’ve been following me or The Stylists Suite for any length of time, you know I swear by editorial calendars. Not because they’re “nice to have”… but because they are the backbone of how media, PR, and storytelling careers stay alive. They are as old school as office phones and rolodex but they still work.
With the latest dismissals, Teen Vogue—once hailed for its inclusive newsroom—no longer has a single Black voice shaping its stories. The silence is loud.

We’re also gearing up for our first Stylists Suite Zoom call in January 2026, with the release of the Big Fat Media Guide 2026 Edition. Let's have strong finish and a stronger start.
