Brides Seeking Experienced Writer To Write And Update Bridal-Related Product Roundups And Reviews

Brides is seeking an experienced writer who will write and update bridal-related product roundups and reviews and help turn testing insights into product roundups. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is passionate about everything related to weddings, including bridal fashion, beauty, registry and gifts. Brides looking for someone who can create quality content and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the bridal or fashion industry is a plus, and you’ll also be expected to participate in testing both at home and in our New York City labs.

• Update existing best-of lists and write new commerce content for Brides, ensuring all content reflects the brand’s voice and values
• Find expert sources to provide background information and quotes for best-of roundups and reviews
• Research and write supplemental content like what to look for, pros/cons, buying guides, and more
• Research new products and stay current on trends, check on stock availability and new versions of products to make sure you’re making the best recommendations to readers
• Assist in testing process, whether evaluating products at home, writing up results, attending lab testing days, or gathering additional insights from testers for use in product roundups and updates

• 2-3 years writing experience at an online publisher, ideally in the bridal or fashion space
• A product enthusiast who spends time browsing, shopping, and obsessing over what’s new and what’s next
• Passionate about all things related to the bridal market, including jewelry, beauty, style, and gifts
• Detail-oriented and deadline-focused with solid writing skills, as well as a basic understanding of what works on the web
• Strong writer, capable of creating engaging, lively headlines and blurbs, all the while keeping the Brides voice, values, and style in mind
• Self-starter who wants to work for a growing company

College degree or equivalent experience required, experience in the fashion or bridal industry is a plus.
