Bustle UK Seeking Remote Freelance Fashion And Beauty Writers To Contribute On Average 2-3 Days a Week

Writers will cover fashion and beauty news (celeb news/brand news/product launches), features (essays/editorials), and/or service (how-tos/experiments).

Candidates should have a unique voice, innovative ideas, and at least two years of editorial experience, ideally within the Fashion & Beauty sphere). You should be keen to surface stories about new brands, and have an interest in promoting diversity and inclusivity within the fashion and beauty sphere, as well as a keen eye on TikTok beauty trends and hacks, celebrity style and must-have season buys.

Please note: this is a freelance role, and candidates must be able to legally work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a mixture of news, service and feature content
• Write assigned stories swiftly and reliably
• Contribute inclusive and diverse fashion and beauty coverage
• Monitor social media and identify fresh, viral angles on fashion and beauty stories
• Be comfortable incorporating photos, videos, tweets, TikToks, and memes naturally into stories
• Be able to write in a conversational tone that offers a unique point of view

Requirements

• A passion for fashion, beauty, celebrity trends and strong service journalism
• An understanding of trends along with the capacity to find innovative ways to deliver them to Bustle UK’s audience
• 2+ years reporting/blogging/writing experience
• Reliability, as regular output is required
• A practical knowledge and understanding of UK media law
