This person will write and assign style, grooming, and wellness stories primarily for the web and newsletters, but may work across all platforms including print, video, podcast, events, etc. as needed. They will work with GQ’s audience development and commerce team to strategically identify topic areas that are ripe for audience growth, while finding unique and creative ways to cover those topics.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in SEO and conversations happening on social media; possess a clear, distinctive voice; and have a rolodex of similarly stylish expert writers. They should have experience writing and editing for a digital publication, assigning to a budget, and programming coverage to key moments on the editorial calendar. This role reports to GQ’s Site Director.

ELLE.com’s beauty team is looking for a highly organized, deadline-driven Associate E-Commerce Writer to join their team. In this position, you will work closely with the Beauty Director to pitch and write commerce - and traffic-generating content within the beauty vertical. This includes working on assigned SEO stories, writing product roundups, covering celebrity beauty news, calling in products, and organizing team desk sides. You will also work with the Fashion & Luxury Commerce Manager, making sure that important stories in the beauty vertical are included in the newsletter, to attract additional e-commerce growth and to aid in ELLE.com’s traffic goals. This role reports to the digital Beauty Director.

The Editor should be particularly eager to conceptualize bold, unique, and ambitious story ideas that create buzz and generate traffic.
