One of our Favorite Magazines For Young Writers - Sesi Magazine is looking for Submissions of Short Stories & Poems
Sesi Magazine wants to Publish Your Short Story or Poem in their Next Issue.
Have you written a short story or some fire poems you want to get published and share with the world? Send them our way!
For each issue, we choose one or two short stories (500-1,500 words) or poems (maximum of one page) written by our teen readers. You may submit your work at any time, and if chosen, it will be published in an upcoming issue!
Here’s how: To submit your short story or poem, please email it as an attachment (a Word doc. or Google doc.) to sesimag@gmail.com. Be sure to include Fiction Writer in the subject line of the e-mail. Please also include your name and your age.
Stories/poems may cover most any topic. There is no monetary compensation, but seeing your writing in print is most definitely a flex.
We look forward to reading your work!
In case you haven't heard about Sesi Magazine:
“Sesi” means “sister” in Sotho, a Bantu language mainly spoken in Southern Africa. The only teen magazine for Black girls on the newsstands, Sesi reps to the fullest — filling that void in mainstream magazine media, in which Black girls and their voices are virtually invisible. As an independent magazine with very little advertising, we rely on the support of our community to continue publishing. You can show your support by subscribing or donating.
