Bon Appétit & Epicurious is Looking For An Assistant Food Editor
Bon Appétit & Epicurious Has A New Opening For Assistant Food Editor
The Bon Appétit and Epicurious test kitchen is responsible for creating dozens of compelling and original recipes each month for the print magazine, bonappetit.com, and Epicurious. The Assistant Food Editor is responsible for supporting the work of the entire kitchen, including but not limited to: cross-testing recipes before publication, pitching recipes and stories as part of print and digital production cycles, providing administrative support to the Food Director, assisting with special projects, and with the potential to grow into recipe development.
Bon Appétit and Epicurious’s recipe content is completely interwoven with editorial mission and the perspective of editors, photo, and art teams. Story ideas are generated by the staff as a whole, and the test kitchen is tasked with realizing those ideas in recipe form. The test kitchen team produces approximately 40 new recipes each month, and the Test Kitchen Assistant is an important part of that process to ensure the smooth running of the entire department, as well as contribute to the quality, makability, accuracy, and deliciousness of every dish we put our name on.
